Are you Heaven BOUND ?
Choose Your Path !
IN HEAVEN - ''THERE SHALL BE NO MORE PAIN''.
Revelation 21:4 "And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”
Are you bound for Heaven?
If you are unsure of your destination - trust the Bible for answers.
‘The Bible is the word of truth, The truth remains the same, The Bible never changes and somewhere in its pages, Today…, God may whisper your name!’’
We had 10 years of fun with our camper van.
On the front bull bar we had a sticker that said
‘’Heaven Bound’’
No matter where we travel and how rough our journey in life becomes, we are absolutely sure that our final destination is Heaven.
Matthew 7:13 Reading from the New King James Version.
"Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
Everyone on this planet is on a path to a final destination -Heaven or Hell!
Most people say that good people go to Heaven and bad people go to Hell.
If that was so, then Heaven would be empty! The Apostle Paul said that no one is good. “There is none righteous, no one is wise and there is none who does good. He emphasised it with -No, not one.”
We do find goodness in our Lord Jesus Christ. Even better than good, for He is perfect & sinless and in His caring for us He sympathises with our weaknesses. Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
Our Lord Jesus Christ, through His word & His Spirit,
gives us knowledge of the absolute truth. He cannot lie and He warns us that the default path, the one we automatically travel on, is the way to Hell. You can choose to do nothing & go to Hell or one can choose to accept God’s free gift of salvation, step off the path & go to Heaven. The choice is yours. You are responsible for your own decision and responsible for your own destination-Heaven or Hell.
I hasten to add:
Only God can know the time and age when one is able to understand His entry requirements to Heaven. There is nothing in the Bible that says that from a certain age one is responsible for one’s own decision making. I believe that those who are incapable of exercising faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; infants, young children, or mentally disabled adult children, automatically find themselves safe in the arms of Christ.

I was searching for a simple way to answer the often asked question
“If a person is good, then surely they deserve to go to Heaven?”
Jesus often spoke in parables, so after I prayed for the answer, it was of no surprise to find myself thinking & writing in parables.

“In his last will and testament it is usual for a father, to leave an inheritance to his own sons & daughters. Usually, he wouldn’t even consider sharing his own children’s inheritance with his neighbour’s children. But, if he was to adopt, the neighbour’s sons and daughters, as his own, then all the children would become joint heirs to the inheritance that he leaves them"
|
We see in Romans 8:14-17 for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father." The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs--heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
Logic dictates that if you don’t have a personal relationship with someone, then you are unlikely to share in his children’s inheritance.
Heaven is the inheritance of the Christian who is an adopted son or daughter of God. Not all people share in the inheritance, not all are accepted into Heaven. In our Heavenly Father’s will, Heaven is the exclusive domain of the sons & heirs of God. To share in the inheritance you must know the Father & the only way to know the Father is through His son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Jesus said in John 14:6-7 “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; ….”

Today many people, taught by false teachers, are under the false impression -
that all paths lead to Heaven. It is true that every soul on this planet is a potential Citizen of Heaven. But not all will be granted their Citizenship. To enter the purity of Heaven we must first fulfil God’s entry requirements. Just like in a hospital, you can’t just wander into an operating theatre. It’s a sterile environment, so you have to scrub up & be clean, otherwise you could pollute the area & face the wrath of an angry Surgeon.
|
In the spiritual realm, if we are not cleansed of sin, then we are not acceptable candidates for entry into the purity of Heaven.
God may reject angrily, those who refuse to obey His entry requirements.
God may reject angrily, those who refuse to obey His entry requirements.
One of the characteristics of holiness is an angry reaction to sin.
And God's just anger is an absolutely necessary part of His personality.
Romans 1:18 “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,”
On our life’s journey, we must include knowledge of God's righteous, loving anger. Without it we are unable to comprehend the meaning of sin, repentance, blasphemy, justice and Hell. And without a balanced view of God's anger, we are unable to understand and experience fully, the contrasting, awesome wonder, of His love, forgiveness, grace, mercy and Heaven.
God’s justice is fulfilled when one is given no more & no less than they deserve We must never forget with whom we are dealing. He is the Potter, we are His clay. He made us & moulds us. We are His creation, He owns us. If the Creator finds an unacceptable imperfection in His creation, He has the right to dispose of it, as He sees fit. If this is by eternal fire, then that is His Sovereign right.
In our arrogance we forget our place.
Compared to the size of God’s universe, with billions of stars and galaxies, we are tiny, insignificant and impotent. Yet like rebellious children, we dare, to defy & disobey the Almighty, Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent (all powerful, all knowing & with us everywhere) one & only true God, The Triune God of Father, Son & Holy Spirit, who merely spoke the word & all things, came into existence.
It is, our precious Lord Jesus Christ, who holds His creation together.
Colossians 1:17 “And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.” Yet many reject Him. There is no hiding anything from He who created us & has an intimate knowledge of every blemish on our characters, our bodies, our spirits and our souls. He knows our every thought before we even utter it and He knows our every sin.
In spite of this, our God loves us deeply.
The Lord is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
Our Almighty God loves the human race more than any of us can ever imagine.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. God wants everyone to be saved from an eternity in Hell.
In our reading of Matthew 7, we saw Enter by the narrow gate; …narrow is the gate & difficult is the way which leads to life, & there are few who find it.”
The narrow gate is the entry to the way that leads to Heaven.
The narrow gate is difficult to get through. It’s a tight squeeze. There’s no room for our worldly ‘baggage’ & we have to rid ourselves of many things like; an all-consuming desire for earthly wealth, an unforgiving spirit, selfishness & self-righteousness. Most importantly we must have accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour.
Again in Matthew 7 we read; wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.

Again in Matthew 7 we read; wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it.
The wide gate is the gate to a ‘Dead end’ in a real place called Hell.
Contrary to popular belief, there are no entry requirements to Hell.
You don’t have to be a thief, murderer or far worse, to go to Hell. The fact is, that this is the way, by default that most of humanity travels into eternity. Unless you choose to accept Christ’s offer to show you the way off that path, you will finish up in Hell.
Most people won’t believe and can’t be bothered even thinking about it.
They’re comfortable on the broad path with plenty of room & no restrictions. They can bring along their worldly ‘baggage’ & retain all their worldly traits of materialism, greed, selfishness, spite, prejudice & hatred. They can believe whatever they want to believe. They can choose to follow one of hundreds of cults or false religions or they can even makeup their own.
Without any consideration of what their Creator God wants of them, their morals are based on whatever the majority accepts & the law of the land permits. They have been taught that all things evolved without the need of a Creator God, so they have no concern for what their Creator wants of them.
The broad path is the way of least resistance and is chosen by most people. These people are happy to follow this path because it needs no change in their ‘lifestyle’ any sort of behaviour is acceptable, as long as it is acceptable to the majority.
In their worldly wisdom, they see themselves as:
‘open-minded’, tolerant of other people’s views and “broad-minded”. But in reality, they are the opposite. When confronted with the truth of Christ, they are generally, closed minded to Christianity, intolerant of the Christian’s view & see the Christian on the narrow path as ‘narrow minded’ & arrogant.

Digressing Slightly:
I once said to a School chaplain, who professed to be a Christian “Isn’t it wonderful to know, that as Christians we have the absolute truth of God?” Her eyes flared & she snapped at me “So you think you have the truth do you? That just shows that you are a narrow minded and arrogant person” She then went on, in her wordly wisdom, with a fable I had already heard in my pre Christian days, from a Buddhist monk.
The story was about a king who wanted to show his advisors that they were not as clever as they thought. He blindfolded them & gathered them around an elephant, a creature that none had ever seen or even heard of before.
He told them to reach out, touch it & tell him what an elephant looked like.

The one touching the trunk said it was like a leathery python, another touching a tusk said it was like a smooth curved rock, one touched its tail & said it was like a fly whisk, the one touching its stomach said it was like a water barrel, one feeling an ear said it was like a big leather fan.
And another said its leg, was like a tree trunk.
None of these answers, although truthful, convey the complete truth of what an Elephant really looks like.
Now the point behind this story was to demonstrate, there are many points of view, all of which may have an element of truth in them. None of us can see the big picture; none of us can know the complete truth.
Therefore I, with my statement that I have the complete and absolute truth, am arrogant and intolerant of the views of others “Shame on me!”
However, the Christian has a wonderful (perhaps under-utilised) resource - the indwelling Spirit of the all-knowing Christ who, if we listen to His whisper, will reveal to us the subtle truths not available to the Spiritually dead (as were the School chaplain & the Buddhist Monk, who told me the fable) In their carnal thoughts, self-righteousness and wordly wisdom, they were blind to the absolute truth behind the fable.
They missed a vital element of truth in the story - the King!
You see, the King had the ‘big picture’ he saw the complete Elephant. He had the complete and absolute truth of what an elephant looked like.
Therefore, it is possible for the minority (as the king was and we as Christians are) to have the absolute knowledge of the truth.
While preparing this message, I researched the history of the Elephant fable and was amazed to find that the simple logical truth had eluded, the wordly wisdom of the Spiritually dead, false teachers & scribes, who for over a thousand years (since the story began in the 9th century) have said it demonstrated, that no one could have the absolute truth.
When in fact it proves (through the king in the story) that it is possible for the minority to have the knowledge of absolute truth.
The Christian serves a far greater King than in the fable.
We serve The all-knowing King of Kings. Praise Him for removing our blindfolds.
1 Cor 1:18-20 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.” Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
Buddha (which means teacher) was an ordinary man. He sought truth & enlightenment from various faiths including Christianity, but gave up, sat under a tree & became a false teacher of his own religion.
After I turned from the Buddhist path, I read that the monk (whose sect does not believe in God) was now the Abbot of his Monastery and was invited to speak in a Church Cathedral.
So why would people, in a Church Cathedral, while flying the banner of Christianity, want to listen to the fables of false teachers?
Incredibly, 2000 years ago, the Apostle Paul had the answer for us.
Paul said in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.
The people who stay on the broad path to the end (the unsaved majority)
will come to the realization of the truth. But sadly, as they are swept, like a tsunami, through the wide gate, their path comes to an eternal ‘Dead end’ & it’s too late to turn back, from an eternity in Hell.
Luke 13:28 There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out.
They cry out in physical & mental agony - “Why didn’t I listen? Why didn’t I obey?” … and they may recall the opportunity missed, when God whispered their name & the Saviour knocked on their door.
By contrast, the blessed few on the narrow path to Heaven have come to the realization that the void in their life is a God shaped void that can only be filled by the Spirit of God. In their case, the 'knocks' of life have made them open the door in answer to the persistent knock of Jesus Christ. Here at the foot of the cross, they are able to unburden themselves, are forgiven of their sins and find comfort in their troubles.
And another said its leg, was like a tree trunk.

There is a saying- “It is not what you know but who you know!”
“Do you know the Lord as your Saviour or do you only know of Him?
If you don’t have a personal relationship with God’s Son our Lord Jesus Christ, then why should you expect to share in the inheritance from His Father, the Father you don’t know?
If your name is not in His book of life, then you are not going to Heaven.
But…..the good news is that it is not too late.
Amazingly, although you don’t know Him, The Creator of the Universe knows you by name & wants you to be a child of God on the path to Heaven today!
John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: We don’t know how long this offer lasts, but the Bible says:
2 Corinthians 6
Behold now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
It doesn’t matter who you are or where you were born. It is logical that God should provide a clear path & a clear set of directions for all people of all nationalities to follow. It is therefore illogical to think that God would tell one group of people of one nationality how to find the truth & tell another group a different and contradictory so called ‘truth’. Our God is not a God of confusion. Our Father in Heaven sent His only son, to tell us the way.
John 14:16 Jesus said: “I am the way, & the truth & the life; no one comes to the Father, but by Me.”
This sublime statement is without a doubt, one of the most important pieces of information given by the Grace of God to the world and to each of us personally. Yet this claim, viewed through the blurred eyes of today’s political correctness, can be controversial and is seen by some as an arrogant statement. It shakes the foundation of the common myth, the lie, preached by false teachers, that all paths lead to the same thing.
Our Lord, with His controversial statement, puts Christianity in a class by itself. If the path to God is through our Lord Jesus Christ, then Christianity cannot be compared to, or merge with, any other form of faith and worship. True Christianity of the ‘’you must be born again’’ variety, is unique, as is the uniqueness of Jesus Christ Himself.
John 3:3 Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

I wasn't saved until I was in my forties.
Next year 2015, Lord willing, I will be three score & ten -70 years old. I dread to think how my life could have ended.
Nowadays, I try not to criticize - alcoholics, blasphemers & worse, because I once travelled, arm in arm with them, on the same broad path.
But by the Grace of God, I would still be there!
Long ago, a little before my time, in the 1500’s, the evangelist John Bradford, saw criminals led to the gallows and as he reflected on his own past, with great compassion he said "There but for the grace of God, go I"
John Bradford was a man who was absolutely convinced of where he was going & who he would see. In 1555 as he was about to be burned at the stake as a martyr for his faith, he turned to a fellow victim & calmly said
"We shall have a merry supper with the Lord this night".
One never knows when one’s life will end.
John Bradford was ready …Are you?
In Conclusion: God gives you freedom of choice.
You choose your path.
God is not a dictator. He shows you the way- but the choice is yours.
God has warned you of the consequences of your wrong choices.
The way to Heaven is not by “what you know” but “who you know”.
Do you know Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour?
You have heard the truth, so you are now without excuse.
Where you choose to spend eternity, in Heaven or Hell, is now up to you.
Today you may have heard God whisper your name. I pray that you listen and accept His guidance & receive His Eternal Blessings.

And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Amen

About the biggest hoax on Earth
Along with the Satanic lie of Evolution, the biggest hoax or con job or deception on earth, is the fact that Satan, who deceives the whole world, has conned people into believing that he does not exist. You see, Satan could not care less what you believe in, as long as you don’t believe the truth!
Three times Satan attempted to mislead Jesus by misquoting Scriptures. Shouldn't we also expect Satan to use the same "schemes" against us?
1 Peter 5:8-9 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
